SPOTLIGHT ON SWEET ALMOND

Sweet almond oil is a modern cultivar of the poisonous bitter almond native to the Mediterranean and north Africa. If Jojoba is the comeback kid of the skincare world then sweet almond oil is the princess, light but fiercely protective, the kind of princess that has a sword on her hip. Sweet Almond is an essential ingredient for increased skin hydration, a rich natural oil with excellent strengthening and skin repairing properties.

The word "almond" comes from Old French almande or alemande

Halos in religious symbology are often made of almond blossom, sacred for its protective qualities and light energy vibration

Since it's development from the bitter almond it was first established in North Africa, Spain and other southern Mediterranean countries and now is largely grown on the plains of California, I've sourced an organic sweet almond that is cold pressed from the kernel in Spain.

Hydrating. A rich emollient, sweet almond creates a protective layer in the outer layer of the skin locking in moisture and preventing transdermal water loss, moisturising and giving the skin a dewy sparkle.
Rich in the good fats. Good fats are an essential component of healthy skin care; our body transforms them from why we eat but applying them topically makes sure that reach the parts of the skin that need them most.

Strong healthy nails. Studies have shown that the proteins present in sweet almond make it ideal for transforming brittle nails and strengthening cuticles when applied regularly.

Moisturising. Especially suited to dry, sensitive skin, rich in Omega 6 and 9: good fats that are essential to healthy plump skin, this light oil softens, nourishes and revitalises.

Nutritious. Sweet almond is full of nutrients, B1&2, vitamin E, D and A. and also contains a diversity of minerals which all nourish and protect skin. Organic, cold-pressed sweet almond oil maintains its mineral-rich phytocomplex and is biocompatible with even the most sensitive of skin types.

Preserving beauty at any age. Because it is the perfect moisturiser, sweet almond oil can help slow down the appearance of ageing, and help to fade fine lines and wrinkles. In dermatological tests, it was shown that sweet almond oil increases the skin's suppleness and the effect was still present as time passes. Test also showed continued use of sweet almond oil resulted in reducing superficial facial lines.

Because sweet almond oil provides a protective layer it's ideal to keep your skin velvety and beautifully soft whatever the weather. You'll find sweet almond oil in
HAPPY MIXING!
