My Tub Tips - Life Changing!!

TUB TIPS

So I don't know about you but I like to spend hours a week soaking in the tub, I've transcended the 'just to wash' type soak to an immersive water experience with replenishing botanicals to suit my mood and treat my skin, sometimes that means a full blown pamper & soak and sometimes I concoct a mix to remedy.

Here are my favourite concoctions.

CITRUS EXPLOSION.

A mix to awaken even the sleepiest of moods, the grey weather can bring with it a heavy feeling, this is my go-to when I want to feel alive and refreshed.

Recipe:

2. Generous handfuls of pink Himalayan salts

2. Handfuls of sea salt

1. Handful of our Mai Lime salt soak

5-10. drops of grapefruit essential oil

5-10. drops of lime essential oil

1. dessertspoon of oil of your choice, I use a light sunflower.

Mix the essential oils into the salts well before adding them into the stream of running water. I add the oil last, this is the secret to a skin glow that reminds me of holidays and warmer weather not only that it locks in all the hydration and botanics.

YOU NEED ME IN YOUR BATH!

OAT MILK

Sometimes for me, usually after too long in the sun ( remember that ? ) my skin is a little sensitive, for others their skin always needs some TLC and oats were made for this. Oats milk is a calming and skin-softening treatment to moisturize, nourish and soothe dry, itchy or irritated skin.

Recipe:

1-2. cartons of organic oak milk, if you make your own-fab!

I scoop of calendula petals or 2 droppers of calandula tincture. ( I'll be blogging about diy tinctures this year so keep a look out, if you don't make them already you'll know how to if you follow along ) If your not going for a romantic Titania type bath put them in a hanky or sock and tie a knot to keep the petals in then add this to your bath.

2-3. drops of camomile essential oil

1. handful of our in the pink salt soak

Mix the essential oils into the milk and shake vigorously before adding to your bath. Add less cold and top-off your bath with the creamy oat milk.

TIP: If your skin is dry, itchy or irritated then after youv'e patted yourself dry apply a layer of aloe vera and follow with our balm for these conditions - Wild Gold.

HEY GIRL! YOUR SKIN GLOW CAN BE SEEN FROM SPACE.

TIMELESS LAVENDER WITH AN TROPICAL TWIST

For a deep state of relaxation & stress transformer there is the timeless duo of lavender and camomile, lavender hits you in the face with it's vibrant aroma and relaxes you in seconds while camomile sneaks up to sedate with it's honey notes and grassy memories.

Recipe:

2-3. Generous handfuls of magnesium salts, magnesium contains countless minerals that relax and restore like no other salt I've come across.

1. carton of organic unsweetened coconut milk

1. handful of our white light salt soak

5-10. drops of lavender essential oil

5. drops of camomile essential oil

1. tsp of vanilla essence

I mix my essential oils into the carton of coconut milk and shake vigorously before adding to the bath. Dreamy coconut milk is an antioxidant, skin - softening and the aroma is a match made with the duo of essential oils. Vanilla bean aroma is a hug, it's no mistake that we love vanilla ice-cream so much, vanilla is packed full of feel-good compounds, you can read a Vanilla 101 here
