DIY REMEDIES FOR TIRED EYES
Natures beauty cabinet has the answer for tired eyes. Eyes are continually exposed to pollutants, computers and irritants, these easy to make soothing herbal treatments really work to reduce the appearance of puffiness leaving them feeling refreshed, revitalised and relaxed, one of the key herbs in these recipes is even called eyebright.
CAMOMILE ON ICE
Camomile is a cooling, calming herb, make a raw flower camomile tea and pour it into ice cubes, freeze and apply when needed. If you'd like to make it super cool and not freeze your fingers you can buy push up cardboard/recyclable lip balm tubes on etsy, you could use these instead.
GREEN TEA TREATMENT
Green tea is jam packed full of antioxidants and has amazing anti-inflammatory properties. Boil a kettle and pour two teaspoons full over your tea bags in a small bowl, as soon as they are cool enough to touch place them over your eyes for as long as you like but no less than 10 minutes of total relaxation. Use your tea bag treatment while warm the warmth opens the skin, relaxes the eye muscles and the active properties penetrate deeper to do the work. Even my daughter noticed the difference in my eyes after using this method, my eyes always feel incredibly refreshed. If your not a fan of green tea try fennel, it soothes the sensitive skin around the eyes and reduces puffiness.
Spritz this!! If you need an extra boost of green tea throughout the day pour some into a spritz bottle and spray sore eyes away.
